INTRODUCTION:
Notepad is very simple Application used to store large amount of text data.  Very commonly used by programmers to store large program files.  Files created in notepad don’t consume computers storage space. Notepad is very simple to used and operate. The file created in notepad have an extension .txt.

Notepad File Menu

Newà Creates New File

Openà Opens and Existing Notepad File from the computer.

Save à Saves the Current File.

Save As à Saves the File with other name.

Page Setupà Sets up the File for Printing.

Print à Prints the file with your current page set up settings.

Exità Come out of notepad.



Note pad Edit Menu

EDIT MENU
Undo
Reverses the Last Action.

Cut
Cuts the selected Text.

Copy
Copy the Selected Text.

Paste
The Data That is cut or copied is resided in to computers memory after pressing Paste it will be pasted on the current Cursor position.

Delete
Deletes the selected the text.

Find
We can find the required text in the open document.  Find can be done upwards or downwards depending on the current cursor position.

Find Next
Finds the next occurrence of the required text that we are searching in the document.

Replace
Replaces the searched text with another text.

Go To..
Take the cursor position to required line number.

Select All
Selects Entire Document.

Time Date
Inserts current time and date at the insertion point.

FORMAT MENU:
Word Wrap
Wraps the text to next line if this feature is on else it wraps the according to space.

Font
We can change the font of the current document. In notepad we cannot provide other effects like color etc. to specified paragraphs.  Whatever effect we are providing it applies to entire document.



View menu is used for activating Status Bar and Help Menu is used to take help for further understanding.

Paint

INTRODUCTION
Paint program is useful tool for creating paint files on the computer.  The upper panel where “untitled paint “written is known as title bar. Below that we can see various paint tools.  We can use those tools for drawing.  The big white area is known as “Drawing Area” or “Paint Area” where we are drawing the actual paint.  Below the drawing area we can see the “status bar” on which we can see the x,y cursor movements with the selected tool.

NEW :- Creates new paint file.

OPEN:- Opens an existing paint file.

SAVE:- Save the current file.

SAVE AS:- Save the file with other name.  File can be saved as PNG, JPEG, BMP and GIF and OTHER formats.

PRINT:- Prints the file according to print set up options of the paint.

FROM SCANNER OR CAMERA:-  If user wants to copy the file from scanner or camera and if those devices are attached to the computer then user can extract required file on the paint screen.

SEND IN EMAIL: -  If user want to send the current file as an email and if internet is on, the opened file can be sent as an email attachment

SET BACKGROUND:- Any open paint file can be used as a desktop background file using this file.

PROPERTIES:-  User can see the properties like height width and color and resolutions of the current file.

ABOUT PAINT:- This will show the current version of windows through which we get the current version of paint software.

EXIT:- Come out of paint screen.

Home Ribbon contains all the tools to draw the paint and colors to fill the objects we draw.

View Ribbon contains zooming tools and other tools like Rulers, Grid lines, Full Screen and Thumbnail options.  Which can be activated as user requirement.

INTRODUCTION
WordPad is a basic word processor that is included with almost all versions of Microsoft Windows from Windows 95 onwards. It is more advanced than Microsoft Notepad but simpler than the Microsoft Works Word Processor and Microsoft Word.

Title Bar – Resided at the Top of the Document.  The name of the document can be seen on title bar.

Two panels Home and view contains command buttons to work with on Microsoft word pad.

The document area is the area where we type or create our document.
 
File Menu Contains following commands:-

NEW :- Creates new wordpad file.

OPEN:- Opens an existing wordpad file.

SAVE:- Save the current file.

SAVE AS:- Save the file with other name.  File can be saved as rich text format, xml, open document text, plain text document and OTHER formats.

PRINT:- Prints the file according to print set up options of the wordpad.

SEND IN EMAIL: - If user want to send the current file as an email and if internet is on, the opened file can be sent as an email attachment

ABOUT WordPad:- This will show the current version of windows through which we get the current version of WordPad software.

EXIT:- Come out of WordPad screen.
